Getting to know Mrs. Blomberg ~

Family

I have been married to my husband, Brian, for 19 years and we have two children, who both attend LCA. We have three adorable labs (Storm, Ole and Lena) and two ducks (Pickles and Tuft).

Education and Experience

I graduated from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Psychology/Bible minor. I have worked in a public elementary setting as a recess aid/tutor before working as the Learning Coordinator at a private Christian school in the Twin Cities area for two years. I worked as a Special Education teacher at Greenway High School for two years before coming to Lighthouse.

Philosophy

My philosophy of education centers on fostering an environment where students embark on discovering their true identity in Christ, recognizing both their personal and spiritual significance as well as developing their academic achievements through a Biblical Worldview. One of my core beliefs is that every student has worth, meaning, and purpose. My primary aim is to serve as a consistent source of encouragement, setting high standards for academic achievement, spiritual growth, and personal growth.

My overall philosophy is that everyone has a unique God-given ability and purpose to glorify Him. My desire is for students to develop into confident, compassionate, and purposeful individuals ready to positively impact the world around them in Jesus’ name.

Interests and Hobbies

I enjoy precept Bible studies, spending time with family, being home, baking, pickleball, tennis, fishing, puzzles, and four-wheeling.
